Started alongside India's first CNC machines
Ravindra Mehta, an electronics engineer from VJTI, started NEEL in Mumbai in 1979, as Indian factories installed their first CNC machines. Their electronics needed cleaner power than the supply delivered.
NEEL was established to measure those disturbances and engineer the equipment that corrects them. Machine-tool builders began specifying NEEL stabilizers and isolation transformers for the machines they shipped, and many still do.
The range has grown with what we measured on site: harmonics, ground leakage, poor power factor and loads that cannot tolerate a break in supply. Power quality remains our only business.
